There are a lot of farms in Cameron Highlands. From bee to butterfly to lavender to strawberry and vegetable farms, watercress valley, rose and tea centre. Now let me bring you to another location we went to on our 2nd day in Cameron Highlands.
There is certainly a faint smell of lavender the moment we entered and sure enough there are 2 kinds of lavender there. As for the authenticity, I wouldn’t know how authentic it is as I am not able to judge it. We’re here at the Cameron Lavender Garden. This garden is beautifully decorated, lots of areas great for photo taking, clean and well-kept and you can find a lot of souvenirs shop inside.
There are reviews who may not like this place, stating as the price is overrated and there’s nothing much. The entry fee cost MYR8.00 for adult and MYR5.00 for kids. This place also has strawberry farm of which is closed on that day, flower garden where you can pick your own fresh flowers for a fee of MYR2.00 for a stalk or MYR10.00 for 6 stalks of flowers. I was tempted to but realising that it might die in my hands, I’ve decided to leave it where it is.
You can stop by their Cafe to enjoy the cool breeze with drinks and food from the cafe or do people watching. That’s what we did after a walk around the gardens, we sat down to relax and chill for a while. Of course at the same time, we took advantage of what’s around us for photo taking. The cool wind despite the sunny sun is such a nature’s great gift. There’s a small Surau for our muslim visitors to do their prayers. Now, that’s what I love about Malaysia. It is so easy to get a Surau anywhere. *Surau is a place for Muslim to do their prayers*
Cameron Lavender Garden is located at Tringkap, Cameron Highlands, 39100 Pahang, Malaysia and is opened on Mon-Thu from 9am – 6pm and Fri-Sun from 9am – 7pm.
Now, Cameron Lavender Garden is not only for ladies, even guys may enjoy taking selfie with the flowers just like my nephew above! =)
I do enjoyed myself and love the lavender ice-cream. So I may come by again someday.
**PS, the flower has no smell, just loving it and smiling to it as it’s one of my favourite flower and colours! =)
