Day 4

  • River Safari Mangrove Tour
  • Perdana Quay
  • Rentas Hutan Telaga Tujuh (Jungle Trails in Seven Wells)
  • Kuah Jetty (Jetty Point Shopping Complex)

Weee! All fresh and ready for today’s itinerary! Looking forward to River Safari Mangrove Tour! Read here for more info and pics!

Since the package does not include lunch, we head over to Perdana Quay again but this time to savour our lunch meal at The Loaf Bakery & Bistro Cafe. This, I highly, yes super highly recommend you to come and try! Price range from medium to high and the quality will keep you wanting to come back for more!

We ordered Asparagus & Broccoli Soup RM 18, Crayfish Bisque RM 25, Pasta Marinara RM 58 (can’t remember this price, but I know it’s the most expensive), Slow Roasted Chicken Breast RM 38 and ordered many different types of cakes and pastry.

The Asparagus & Broccoli Soup was served in a round bread as its bowl and has such a nice combination and the taste is super light and creamy. Once you put in 1 scoop to your mouth, you’d want again and again. I don’t like broccoli or asparagus but this, totally change my perception.

  1. great post
we expect Langkwai will be very popular for us once we get settled in Penang. They tell us the beaches in Penang are crappy but compared to the cold Northern California beaches we live by now, we think they will be great. If we could only learn to pronounce the place !!

    1. Hi Rodi,
I’m so happy you like the post! Well, one thing about the beaches in Malaysia, the good ones are always off the islands. Where you will need to take boats to those Islands and you’ll find paradise! Langkawi seems to be a great option for your retirement considering that it’s duty free! And everything there is relatively affordable. You should try pastries & sandwiches at ‘La Chocolatine Restaurant’ located at No 3 Jalan Teluk Baru, Pantai Tengah, Langkawi, Malaysia. It is owned by a French guy. Well, who knows, you’ll be having your own business there too someday!
Don’t worry you’ll be able to pronounce the place in no time. -Lia
