Day 3

  • Pantai Cenang Beach
  • Island Hopping
  • Oriental Village

Again woke up pretty early without the sound of alarm clock! See how happy I am to be living this way. Get to see the mountain and greens from the balcony every morning, breathing in fresh air where not many vehicle can be seen, shiok! Plus, today’s gonna be a fun-filled day exploring 3 different Island Hoppings, going to Oriental Village for cable car and Sky Bridge! All pics and more info on these places coming up soon!

We had breakfast at home again with bread and boiled ham with cheese. Yumz. Had to gather over at Asthar Travel & Tours Sdn. Bhd. at about 9 a.m. Here’s me presenting you Asthar Travel & Tours while waiting for our transport and other tourist.

We bought our Island Hopping package here on Day 2 at RM 25. Pretty good price! Off we set to Island Hopping exploring Dayang Bunting, Pulau Beras Mati and Eagle Feeding. We gave 1 more Island a miss due to rain. More on these coming up!

We had lunch at La Chocolatine Restaurant located at No 3 Jalan Teluk Baru, Pantai Tengah, Langkawi, Malaysia. We had macroons while I bought Salmon Quiche, super yummy and the rest had e-clair, sandwich, etc. I had hot chocolate for my drink. Pretty filling! The restaurant owner was present and he is quite friendly, all smiley and serving us our food and drinks. How nice too be working in relax, free and easy environment eh? If you crave for macroons, quiches or e-clairs, head on here! Highly recommended.

Next stop, Oriental Village where we are looking forward to explore the Sky Bridge! But sadly, it’s closed for maintenance!!! What??!!! Urrghhh!! This is sooo unforgiveable! We are sooo looking forward to it as many people says that the view is great! Plus its way up high on Bukit Mat Chincang and I truly believe that the view is gonna be wonderful! It’s ok, this calls for a 2nd trip to Langkawi! Weeehaa! Well, fret not! There’s many more things to do in Oriental Village. What do we do? Post coming up soon!

Dinner was at Hj. Jelani Thai Food & Seafood Restaurant located at Pantai Cenang, Langkawi. We chose many different dishes and share among us. Each of us forked out RM 25 for everything! The food was delicious but freshness is ok too. So if you are craving for seafood, go ahead to Hj. Jelani and fulfill that craving of yours!

That’s how we end our day, stomach’s full and we are happy to close our eyes and look forward to tomorrow.

  1. great post
we expect Langkwai will be very popular for us once we get settled in Penang. They tell us the beaches in Penang are crappy but compared to the cold Northern California beaches we live by now, we think they will be great. If we could only learn to pronounce the place !!

    1. Hi Rodi,
I’m so happy you like the post! Well, one thing about the beaches in Malaysia, the good ones are always off the islands. Where you will need to take boats to those Islands and you’ll find paradise! Langkawi seems to be a great option for your retirement considering that it’s duty free! And everything there is relatively affordable. You should try pastries & sandwiches at ‘La Chocolatine Restaurant’ located at No 3 Jalan Teluk Baru, Pantai Tengah, Langkawi, Malaysia. It is owned by a French guy. Well, who knows, you’ll be having your own business there too someday!
Don’t worry you’ll be able to pronounce the place in no time. -Lia
